We’re All Growing Up, Together.

Whether you’re a first-time parent, running a mini daycare in your living room, or have a PhD in child psychology, parenting is a doozy. And finding simple, trusted, and practical advice for everyday challenges isn’t any easier.

Big Little Feelings began as a way to give parents the resources they need to not just survive the toddler and preschooler years, but to THRIVE. Bonus, we laugh a lot and curse a little, too.

Parent coach Kristin (right) and licensed marriage and family therapist Deena (left) are best friends and busy moms. And even with a psychotherapy degree and a couple of kids between them, their search for relatable, research-based parenting guidance turned up empty handed.

So Kristin (a mom of two at the time), and Deena (expecting her first), set out to create the antidote to the inaccessible, overwhelming, and academic. Enter Big Little Feelings: the brain of a licensed therapist, the energy of two moms trying to make it to bedtime, and the heart of generational cycle breakers everywhere.

YOUR BESTIES IN THE TRENCHES

A licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) who studied under Dr. Dan Siegel, Deena brings clinical experience specializing in interpersonal neurobiology and the connection between parent-child relationship, brain growth, and emotional development. She is also a mom of two!

You Were Never Meant to Do This Alone.

You know that thing — that totally illogical thing, where we just expect to have all the answers before the baby is even on the outside? Yeah, eff that.

The truth is, parenting doesn’t come naturally, even if people have been doing it since forever. And it takes practice – like learning to tie your shoe or swing a baseball bat or bake a cake (still working on perfecting the cake).

So many of us want to break generational cycles, but don’t know how or where to start.

That’s where Big Little Feelings enters the chat. We’re a space for parents to come together, connect over shared experiences, and troubleshoot as a community. We’re all here, with our kids and with each other.

Here’s to your families, from ours.
